Concept
The natural and
relative movement of water is developing as a source of renewable and
safe energy.
Our wave and tidal energy project taps this resource in the hopes of
creating a prototype for a commercial
product that is both cost efficient and environmentally friendly. Our
proposal is to manufacture a small
"hydroelectric generator (HG)" that converts the relative motion of
water below a moving sailboat into
electricity on-board. The proposed concept will be used as a supplement
to existing solar panels,
or depending on its efficiency, may even serve to replace the solar
panels and act as the sole source of
power for the boat’s electric equipment.
